John Murray brings more than two decades of experience working in public policy, political, and leadership roles. Before joining the WCA, he served as Executive Director of the Wisconsin Office of Justice Assistance, where he oversaw more than $160 million of state and federal grants in the areas of criminal justice, juvenile justice, violence against women, and homeland security. John has served as an advisor to several top legislative leaders, including former Speaker of the Assembly Mike Huebsch and former Senate Majority Leader Dale Schultz. He also worked as Chief of Staff for Wisconsin Representative Paul Ryan and as the Director of the Office of State-Federal Relations for Wisconsin Governor Scott McCallum in Washington, D.C. John has a Bachelor of Arts in Economics and Political Science from UW-Madison and lives in Sun Prairie with his wife and two sons.
John became WCA Executive Director in 2013. He is responsible for day-to-day operations and heads up the WCA's ongoing government affairs efforts at the Wisconsin State Capitol.
Membership & Program Director
Brenda Toler brings over 25 years of professional experience in business development, event and trade show planning to her role as WCA Membership & Program Director. Prior to joining WCA staff, she worked as Business Development Manager for the Wisconsin Restaurant Association and was a business owner. Brenda has focused on success in business development, fundraising, sales, and building customer relationships throughout her career. As WCA Membership Director, she is responsible for member relations, vendor services for WCA conventions and events, overseeing WCA special events and coordinating benefits for the Association.
Andrea W. Murray
Education and Convention Manager
Andrea W. Murray joined WCA as Education and Convention Manager in February 2017. Andrea works closely with the WCA Education Committee, Help Desk, and Membership to plan seminars and certification courses, spring and fall WCA conventions, and special events. Andrea has a background in the arts along with years of event planning experience, and she enjoys working on everything continuing education-related, from logistics to the big picture. In her spare time, she enjoys painting, drawing, crafting, and spending time with friends and family. Andrea lives on the west side of Madison with her husband, two active teenage sons, and the family beagle.
Tammy McKeown, CT
Help Desk Director
Tammy McKeown joined the WCA in the fall of 2014. She is a certified chiropractic technician and assists members with a wide variety of questions on topics such as billing and coding, insurance company issues, Medicare, Worker’s Compensation, and Personal Injury cases. Tammy also attends district meetings and student visits, and you may find her teaching in a WCA classroom on Compliance and Front Desk procedures for chiropractors and staff. After graduating from MATC as a Medical Secretary, she worked within the chiropractic profession for over 18 years as a CA/CT and Clinic Manager for two WCA member clinics, as well as in billing/coding and admissions for Meriter Hospital and Meriter Medical group in Madison. She enjoys spending time with family, especially her son Colin.
Communications & Marketing Manager
David Bobka joined the WCA in September 2017 after serving as Director of Communications for the Wisconsin Optometric Association (WOA) from 2011-2017. He is a graduate of the University of Wisconsin-Madison and previously worked as a copy editor and English teacher. David is responsible for publication of the bimonthly WCA magazine The Wisconsin Chiropractor, written and electronic communications to Association audiences, marketing content for WCA education events and services, assisting with government affairs, and managing the WCA website as well as WCA's Facebook page.
Member Services Coordinator
Alicia Weich joined the WCA in December 2013 as a Member Services Coordinator. She works part-time for the Help Desk, assisting members with questions on topics such as billing and coding, insurance company issues, Medicare, Worker’s Compensation & Personal Injury cases, and more. She handles record keeping and authorization requests for WCA's political conduit, the Chiropractic Health Information & Education Fund (C.H.I.E.F.), as well as helps to organize the WCA Government Affairs Committee and other projects as needed. She has worked for health insurance companies in the past as well as a medical billing office. Outside of work, she enjoys reading, exercising, and spending time with her family.
Member Services Coordinator
Jackie Gargano brings solid office management and organization skills to WCA. She works four days a week as a Member Services Coordinator, and joined WCA staff in September 2016. Jackie plays a key role in WCA Continuing Education events, assisting members with questions, registrations, and class preparation. She is also the main office receptionist and takes care of billing, accounts receivable, and office contracts. In the past, Jackie has worked as an Office Manager at SSM Dean Health and Network Equipment Techologies (Manhattan), where she gained most of her experience. She has a Bachelor of Science Degree in Art from the University of Wisconsin-Stout, and in her spare time, enjoys gardening, music, art, and exercise. She has two children and lives in McFarland, WI.
