WCA Leaders meet with Congressman Bryan Steil to Discuss Medicare Modernization
The Wisconsin Chiropractic Association continued its efforts to advocate for Medicare modernization last week with a meeting with 1st District Congressman Bryan Steil (R-WI-1st district).
WCA President and ACA delegate Dr. Gene Yellen Shiring was joined by long-time WCA member and 1st CD resident Dr. James Damrow at a meeting with Congressman Steil at his Janesville office on Friday, September 6th. The purpose of this meeting was to ask him to support HR 3654 - the Chiropractic Medicare Coverage Modernization Act of 2019.
"We deeply appreciate the opportunity to meet with Congressman Steil to discuss Medicare moderization and ask him to co-sponsor this important legislation," said Dr. Gene Yellen Shiring.
WCA leaders have been meeting with members of the Wisconsin Congressional delegation during their end of summer recess to educate them on HR 3654 and request their co-sponsorship.
"We have an historic opportunity to modernize Medicare and give patients the opportunity to access the full range of care that chiropractic can offer," said Dr. Gene Yellen Shiring.
"The WCA will continue to work directly with members of the Wisconsin Congressional delegation and will continue mobilizing our members and their patients to get this done."
