Approved for 6 CE for DCs

Join us to better understand the state of opioid addiction in Wisconsin, receive updates on the changing landscape nationally, learn recent innovations in pain management, and discuss ways that Chiropractors continue to be part of the solution.

New evidence suggests that opioid use rarely results in sustained improvement in pain control and function. At this 6 hour seminar, Dr. Patel will share information on new CDC recommendations focused on mitigating the harms of opioid use, and illustrate ways DCs can work in partnership with other medical professionals and with patients to assess the risks and address the damage caused by excessive use of prescription painkillers.

Dr. Patel will examine different forms and relative merits of opioids. Using case studies, he will clarify how interventional pain and chiropractic care can help improve patient outcomes and discuss alternative therapies, including spinal manipulation, that fall within the scope of Chiropractic.
