The Wisconsin Chiropractic Association Board of Directors was proud to elect Madison Chiropractor Gene Yellen-Shiring, DC, CCSP, CCE, to the office of WCA President at the 2017 WCA Fall Convention held at the Kalahari Resort in Wisconsin Dells.
Dr. Yellen-Shiring is a 1992 graduate of Palmer College of Chiropractic and a partner in Luedtke-Storm-Mackey (LSM) Chiropractic Clinic in Madison. In addition to his role as President, he chairs the WCA Government Affairs Committee, is Wisconsin’s Alternate Delegate to the American Chiropractic Association (ACA) – House of Delegates, and serves on the Board of the ACA Political Action Committee. Since 2005, Dr. Yellen-Shiring has attended the National Chiropractic Legislative Conference in Washington, D.C. where he meets regularly with Wisconsin’s Senators, Representatives, and staff to advocate for legislation beneficial to Doctors of Chiropractic.
“I am honored to serve as President of the WCA, which has supported Wisconsin Doctors of Chiropractic since 1911. I look forward to leading the Association that advances the chiropractic profession so that chiropractors may better serve their patients, their communities, and each other,” said Dr. Yellen-Shiring.
A 25-year veteran of the Chiropractic profession, Dr. Yellen-Shiring is dedicated to his colleagues and the Wisconsin Chiropractic Association. His leadership will ensure that the WCA remains an effective advocate not only for the profession, but also for the millions of Wisconsin citizens who have received care from a Doctor of Chiropractic. The WCA is truly fortunate to have Dr. Yellen-Shiring lead the Association into a new era of growth.
WCA was also pleased to welcome three members to the Board of Directors’ Executive Committee at Convention; Dr. Brenda Holland (Germantown) will serve as WCA Vice-President, Dr. Chris Resch (Neenah) will serve as WCA Secretary, and Dr. Robert Anderson (Reedsburg) will serve as WCA Treasurer.
